How much does the Royen bow usually go for? I can usually sell off Ghial's staff pretty quickly, but I haven't had as much luck with the bow...

2 I use a w/n this run is STILL cake, I think there's a link to a vim build on page one. only use Necro for corpse control. I use desperate blow, drunken blow, watch yourself, dolyak signet, victory is mine, necrotic transversal, healing signet, sprint. run is the same, killing groups is still easy (just take out the rits first) - vim makes energy management a thing of the past as well as allows you to deal more damage since you spend less time heal sigging, but I still get into trouble sometimes like anyone else ;P. I pull ghial, and on the very rare occaision I cant separate him from the one rit or mage that comes with, kill them, necrotic transverse and then kill ghial. Necrotic transversal is so much faster than even Ghial's animate its not even funny. I've gotten 3 staffs in probably 20 runs, but I haven't done for a few days since I've been going for my skill hunter-3
3, if you really must go wammo, just use live vicariously and vigorous spirit, zealous axe - tripple chop and cyclone, watch yourself, dolyaks, healing sig and sprint. Keep it simple. You CAN almost always pull him away solo, and if not, you just pull the golem away and kill it.

yeah watched the video i just suck lol even without giving him a corpse i still can't stay alive against him and the 2 jade with him, will try lennymon's idea hopefull i will have a little mroe luck

the amount of damage you take whilst in watch yourself/dolyak sig is laughable, and I do this in glads aarmor so sentinels should be even easier. Only thing you gotta worry about is keeping those on (occaisional healing - a little more in group of 5), and then dishing out some pain. The first group you fight its sometimes a good idea to (after taking out the Rt) make a timely retreat - when dolyak drops sprint away to heal up depending on if its a 5 group or not. Sometimes they hurt you and most times its not a problem, but just remember you have sprint.

Do you have to have 90+ or 100 armor to farm him?Cause i use glads which is 80 armor and i get killed all the time.

The easiest build for farming Ghial's is 1 alrdy mentioned in a post here alrdy, The original build is great but have found the following to be more reliable, cant remember who posted what they used but all credit goes to them, i'm just making it a little clearer for ppl to read...( tho some of the attributes might be slightly different but this is wot i've used to good effect so far.)

:Skills:

Sever artery
Final thrust
Tigers Stance ( 9 secs of att 33% faster )
Dolyaks sig ( 18 secs of +40 armor, 2 sec down time. )
Healing hands ( gives 25hp when ur hit with healing @ 10 )
Vigours Spirit ( heals you for 15hp every time u hit for 30 secs )
Sprint
Mending

:Attributes:

10 Healing
12 Strength ( 11+ minor str )
13 Sword (9 + sup sword + helm )
Superior Vigor
Superior Absorption ( chest )

:Armor + Wpns:

+45 / -2 enchanted Shield ( collectors works fine ) or -5 20% / +30 works just aswell ( must be str based )
Any sword / 1 handed item with +30 hp ( for the running part )
Zealous Sword 15^50 or 15% enchanted +30
Longbow ( for pulling )
Full Glads with the usual Knights boots

:Route:

See opening post, no need for me to tell u again. ( although once you are done cross back over the bridge near Ghials and go Right, theres a portal close by which makes it easier to repeat without going back to Senji's corner.)

:Possible Drops:

Ghial's Staff ( obviously tho his drop rate is kind of low, 1 in 5-10 runs in my experience. )
Purple / Gold Armors ( always good for runes )
Lots of junk White items.

Also suggest u take a few Canthan keys with u, have some across several chests that can yield some gold items, Tho their not always max but good for mods. ( tho i did get a req7 15-22 15^50 Dusk blade from 1 which i sold for a nice amount

)

Yes this run is still very much doable

here is a tip for you:
The first group is actually the easyest cause you dont have to fight them

What I do is run accross the bridge, when I see the boss moving towards me I run back again towards the two guards before the bridge. Then you have 2 options when the guards atack run straight through them or go to the left from there, there is an area where you can just wait and the group will move past you :0 as easy as that

silly boy, silly boy, SILLY BOY. I thought you lost all you 2nd proffesion skills for good if you change over, only just found out that you get them all back if you want to change back

ok got the skills and attribute set up can just about make the run but can't for the life of me kill anything lol I am starting to think that this isn't going to work no matter what i try lol

I use the 100 armor.

I have no trouble what so ever so I am not sure why people have so much trouble. You do take more damage since the update but I still make it ok.

If I am not busy I will make a run with people (the last time I went I got the drop) to help them out.

I am not sure. I have only gotten 3. I don't farm it too much. I sold one for 20k and I gave the other 2 to guildies. I would think that it should be a halfway decent farm because it is the only Bow that you can farm with 20/20 on it inwhich you don't have to go on SF run or Elite mission.

Thanks Stee. And yes, the Ghial run is still achievable. However, I did have to switch from Gladiator's to a Sentinel's / Gladiator armor combo instead. Sentinel's helm and chestpiece, Gladiator's for everything else. I still have enough energy for TS and HH, but it helps to pause and regen before each group and Ghial himself.

I dont know if im retarded or sumthin but i cant kill Ghial!He heals to quick!When i was tryin to kil him he had a mage,rit and mesmer by him

Healing Hands healed too slowly

On my second try i only had direct attacks from Ghial and his mesmer guard which made my HP fall quickly and i had to teleport back to town not to get killed.Should i run in the middle ofr the rest of his guards so their attacks give me more HP from healing hands?What should i do if the mesmer interrupts my Healing Hands?How should i heal then?
My gear for the run is:Skkais Sword and Arahhsh Aehis.I lack only the sword minor rune.Is that the problem?Should i really get it or isit not that important?

Now I have been doing this run as a Wa/Mo. Done like 25 successful runs, but now it seems much more difficult, yes I know about the armor nerf, and in the last couple of tries I get to Ghial, but can not kill him. It is like his "monster mending" is set higher, or he has more HP.

Like I said, killed him many times, but now, can not, something has changed. Will have to try the Wa/Ne versions to see how they work. Anyone else having the same difficulty?

I use the build from Cerberus post, and it works great. I've done 10 runs so far and got 2 green drops. I've even found out that I've been using Malinons shield the whole time (with 1 pt in Tactics) and still I rarely get below 50% HP.

For those having trouble I would add a healing skill like Cerberus did.
It takes a little longer to kill the foes but at least you will not die. I prefer the faster deaths and I don't have the same trouble others are having. maybe its my 100 armor.

For those that have trouble with killing Ghial. Make sure you there is only one rit with ghial. 2 or more will keep him healed. Use pull tactics if to seperate them. Also if you let him get a golem up, you have to kill the golem away from him or he will heal of the golem and pull up another when you kill it.

i was wondering what can u replace healing hands with if you don;t have prophesies. Are they any other skills that would work or could u go into the protection spells instead of using healing spells. well if anybody can get my an awnser just pm me during usually 8-2pm central time, under kelte everwood, aragorn bitterheart, or kelte the warrior (my new tank i'm that i'm gonna be remaking isntead of using it just for PvP)
